Mistress At Sea
lyrics by Shaun Mangan

When I ask you who you are I don't wanna' know a name
I wanna' know the person 'cause the names are just the same
When you wake tomorrow you know you won't recall
My name begins to phase out, as I wait you never call

So tell me all about you and I'll tell you the same
Tell you all about me, but you never know my name
So soon I must forget you, as you have done to me
And face the realization that I don't possess the key

So, I went down to the ocean to see what I might find
There I met a mermaid and it kinda' blew my mind
On top lochs of gold, and a pair of wings to boot
One thing that struck me odd was her fishy swimming suit

Her tail was long and scaly, what is that all about?
I would have guessed her dolphin, but she did not have a snout
Instead a face of beauty for many years to be
To keep the sailors dreaming of their mistress at sea.

All the scenes have come together so that we can weather
The weather whatever the pleasure
The measure of treasure, the pleasure together.
